Trophy Wife by Noelle Adams
My rating: 4 of 5 stars
Trophy Wife is a small town romance about former trophy wife and city girl who ends up finding more than just herself and happiness again in a small town.
Allison Davies has spent the last 8 years of her life with a husband she didn’t love. She was forced into a marriage young to help save her family after they had lost their fortune. Her marriage was a big disappointment. Allison gets brave and finally asks for a divorce. She is excited for the future and freedom! She has decided to trade her city life for small town, where she has inherited her grandmother's old house.
Her new neighbor, Rob West, is friendly and helps her find a temporary job of waitress.
Rob is a good-hearted man who has been divorced twice. Rob comes on a little too strong to Allison. He is just trying to be helpful but she feels like he is trying to control her. She doesn't want another controlling relationship so she doesn't give into his advances in the beginning.
Allison and Rob work hard to overcome their pasts to get a meaningful relationship that they both can respect. This book was a light hearted read and I enjoyed it for a change of pace from my normal reads.
