My Review of The Hard Way by Katie Ashley

Mr. Triple Threat (good looks, personality and brains) aka Cade Hall, a football player at Georgia Tech, ends up in hot water after a prank he pulls goes bad. This time around, his dad's power and influence can't get him out of trouble. He is given an ultimatum that could change his football career forever. He is forced to work 40 hours a week at the Ark, a community center, in order to be able to save his spot on the football team. Little does he know a blast from his past is going to be there waiting for him!

Avery, a sweet girl with a big heart, has suffered in the past from some not so kind people who made her life a living hell. She used to be innocent to the world but now has harden up to avoid being hurt again. She is angry and bitter from the past.

Cade and Avery get a good dose of reality when their worlds collide once again. They have to overcome the past hurts caused from each other and many other obstacles.

This book is a good second chance romance about coming of age. The characters are an opposites attract and help each other to grow and be a better person. There is angst, emotional, humor, life lessons and love in this book.

The author did a wonderful job with these two characters and helped developed them into something more than what we learned about them in the beginning.
