My Review of Heath by K. Webster & Nikki Ash

This lovely story is a modern twist of a classic story. I won't say what that story is because I don't want to give away too much! You must read the book for yourself to figure that one out!

The story is told in a past and present format! There is a lot of back story before we get down to the main event in the second half of the book! Believe me, the first part of the story is worth the wait to get to the heart wrenching second half.

Heath has always been destined to love one woman. This woman may not be the right one for him but it won't stop the heart from having what it craves or wants! Heath is a delicious asshole, who you can't help but love!

Catrina is a strong willed woman. She knows that her future is has already been planned for her and there isn't much she can do about it. She struggles with that knowledge but decides to enjoy a little bit of forbidden love while she has the chance.

There are more characters to this story with a little tale for each of them.

This book is worthy of 5 stars, a must read and more. It's full of heartbreak, betrayal, love and least but not last, lots of hot dirty sex!

A modern telling of a classic tale... This isn’t a typical love story. This is a story of what happens when love is so powerful and all-consuming that it has the ability to destroy everyone involved. It’s definitely not pretty and it’s certainly not a fairytale, but it’s their story and it couldn’t be told any other way.

My Review of First A Lady by Jade Cary

First A LadyFirst A Lady by Jade Cary
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

First a Lady was my first book I have read by Jade Cary! This book did not disappoint. It was very intriguing, full of mystery and a definite page turner! The plot of this story was so good!

Grace Ashton Coolidge’s husband, Matt, is the President of the US. When he’s assassinated in New Orleans, she’s pulled out of the line of fire by Secret Service agent John Marin. Grace bullies John into keeping her protected, when she decides to go to back to the UK, her home country. She has a dual citizenship. Thus begins the sexual tension between these two characters!

John blames himself for the President's demise. He has been drowning his sorrows in Rum. Will Grace's love be enough for John to forgive himself?

Grace holds a lot of secrets. Will John be able to dig thru her many layers to found out these secrets?

You must read this book to see what will happen! It's full of rich detail and I don't want to give the whole plot a way!

Was it always just a house or did we make it a home?

Was it always just a house or did we make it a home?? I like to think we made it a home full of cherished memories that will warm our hearts for years! We built our current home in 2006. It was such an exciting time for us! We closed on my 30th birthday. What a birthday present!! Our daughter was only a year old. This house is the only home she remembers. We moved to Evansville when she was 4 months old and lived in a rental house for a year.Tori, our beloved mutt, had a new yard to investigate and sidewalks to be walked on!

Some of my most favorite memories are of an excited toddler running into the kitchen to let us know she gone on the potty. I was so happy for her but also busy at the time and didn't check the potty. Later on that evening, I found the poop in her little potty!! What a big deal for a sweet girl who refused to poop on the potty!!

Or there was the time when she was around 3 or so and offered us money for our lights. Ha!! We always told her to turn the lights off after she left a room. We were trying to teach her that electricity cost money. She looked so cute, standing there with a quarter in her hand. All I could do was laugh.

We celebrated so many Christmas mornings here. One year, Molli came running down the hallway and exclaimed, "Mommy you must have been a bad girl, because Santa didn't bring you anything!" After that Christmas, Matt and I decided we needed to start buying gifts for each other.

Tori always loved receiving presents. She would pout until it was her turn to open something up. That dog had personality! We played so many games of hide and seek thru the years!! Yes, our dog loved to play hide and seek! She was a character!! It will soon be a year when we made the hard decision to send our girl over the Rainbow Bridge. I always wanted to have her cremated just in case we ever moved. Little did I know that God had bigger plans for us and a move was right around the corner. So glad we made the decision to have her creamted so that she will forever be with us!!

There will always be the memories of us hosting Thanksgiving and Christmas with our extended families! Our garage was full of love and laughter. I am so happy that we were able to host both families last year!! As I sit here surrounded by boxes, I smile and know this home will always have a special place in my heart. So yes, this has always been a home not just a house! Best wishes to the new owners and all the memories they will create!

Release Day Blitz for Baby Maker (A Real Man #17) by Jenika Snow

Tex

There was only one woman I wanted, and I’d been secretly lusting after her for years.
My sister’s friend.

That first time I saw Calissa was like a right hook to the face, taking me down until there was nothing left. She was my world.

She’s too young for me, too innocent, but that won’t stop me from making her mine. There’s no stopping it, no controlling this possessive, primal need to claim her.

I’d have Calissa no matter what, as my woman, my wife ... with my baby inside of her.

Calissa

It was a forbidden desire to want your best friend’s older brother, but it was my reality. Tex was big and strong and a successful owner of a security company. He was definitely all man.

I’d thought he’d never see me as anything more than his sister’s friend. How wrong I was.

No more longing gazes or fantasies we were together.
He knew what he wanted out of life and apparently that was me ... pregnant with his child.

Warning: This hero really knows what he wants and that's the heroine and getting her knocked up! But no worries, this story is still sweet--even if it is filthy--and you still get that Happily Ever After.

She’s real. This is fucking real.
“Are we really doing this?” she asked softly. “Is this really happening?”
Oh. Fuck. Yeah.
“It should have happened a while ago, Calissa. I should have made you mine when I first realized that’s what I wanted.” I took a step closer. “It was at the eighteenth birthday party. You’d been standing there in a white sundress, your hair piled high on your head, those little pearl earrings catching my eye.” I looked into her eyes. “You remember that night?”
She nodded slowly.
“I wanted you right then and there. I wanted to take you to an empty room, pull your dress up over your ass, and slide my cock deep into that tight little pussy of yours.” I reached out and touched her cheek, her skin warm, smooth. “I wanted to claim that tight little cunt of yours, and the way you looked at me, I know you wanted that, too, didn’t you?”
“Yes,” she said breathlessly.
I moved closer until I could reach out and touch her. I had my hand on her cheek and stroked my thumb along her jawline. I was glad Megs caught us. I was glad she gave her blessing, so to speak. That would have been a hurdle we had to cross later on, but now it was done, sealed. I’d left Megs’ with Calissa in hand, telling her I wanted us to talk, to really understand what was going on. If sex happened tonight than it was meant to, but if not … well I was a fucking patient man. Especially when it came to Calissa.
“How does this feel?” she asked, her voice a whisper.
“It feels pretty fucking incredible. It feels perfect.”
I didn’t stop touching her jawline. I wanted to touch more of her … all of her. She slipped her tongue out and ran it along the swell of her bottom lip. And I lost all semblance of the self-control I’d been holding onto. I lowered my head, moved slightly toward her, and knew if I allowed myself to kiss her, I wouldn’t be able to stop.

Blog Tour for Carolina Collections by Sylvie Stewart

Presents

Series Blog Tour: Carolina Collections
by Sylvie Stewart

Genre: Steamy Romantic Comedy / Contemporary Romance

My life is a friggin' fairytale -- just not the kind any single girl would ever want to star in.

Laney
Like any good heroine, I've got a few challenges to face. Getting my son to wear pants is one; dealing with my snoozefest of a job is another. Then there's the Beast, my freeloading brother who's worn a permanent dent in the couch at my new place. And no fairytale would be complete without the smoking out prince, of course. Too bad he's a complete ass.

Everything in me screams to steer clear of Nate Murphy. Because, if life has taught me anything, there is no such thing as happily ever after.

Nate
I may not be a superhero, but I do my best to come to the rescue when I'm needed. And, hey, I just moved halfway across the country after a single phone call from my mom. But being back home and taking on the responsibilities involved makes me a bit cranky at times. Unfortunately, the one time I completely lose my cool is in front of the hottest girl I've ever met. I've got my work cut out for me if I'm going to fix this. But I will fix this.

I'll be anything Laney Monroe needs me to be ... a superhero, a prince, or just a guy she might take a chance on.

Mark Beckett is the most annoying, patronizing, arrogant jerk on the face of the earth. So, naturally, I can't get the damn man out of my head.

Fiona
Like the old saying goes, I'm a jill of all trades but a master of none. What I lack in skill, however, I make up for in enthusiasm -- something certain people (ahem) find irritating. But I have my reasons for living my life the way I do, for diving into one project after another and trying to make a difference. And if Mark Beckett doesn't like it, he knows where to find the door. I don't need his approval ... or his panty-melting kisses.

Mark
I enjoy the simple things in life: a job well done, a cold beer, a hot woman ... you get the idea. But there's nothing simple about the mess I just found myself in. The last thing I need is a pint-sized princess sticking her nose in my business and pushing every damn one of my buttons like it's her job. But Fiona Pierce may be the only one with the tools to solve my problems --- and the power to change everything.

Luck is no lady ... in fact, she can be a downright bitch.

Bailey
Let's get one thing straight. I am not your typical girl. Sure, I've got all the parts, but I've been a stubborn, irreverent tomboy since the womb. Despite my Irish blood, bad luck makes a sport of messing with me, especially when it comes to men. But my shields are firmly in place now; nothing can touch me again. Except maybe Jake Beckett. He just might make this tomboy do the girliest thing in the world -- fall head over heels in love.

Jake
I'm a pretty lucky guy. I have a phenomenal family, a career I love, and I'm building a brand-new life back in my hometown. And, not to be a jerk about it, but I do more than all right with the ladies. Everything's going according to plan -- like I said, I'm a lucky guy. That is, until my luck runs out. Until I meet the girl I call "Irish."

Irony can go kiss my ass.

They say opposites attract. Someone needs to tell that to Emerson Scott.

Gavin
All I ever wanted was to play ball. When an act of sheer stupidity took that dream away. I thought I'd never bounce back. But now I have the opportunity to coach an up-and-coming phenom, and I'm giving it all I've got. The fact that I've been lusting after his smoking-hot sister only sweetens the deal. Emerson may be buttoned up like a school librarian, but I play my best when I'm under pressure ... and I always bring the heat.

Emerson
Never lose focus. Never lost control. Those are the first two rules in my carefully calculated plan for success. Finding myself thrown into the role of guardian for my little brother was not part of that plan. But I can adjust for Jay's sake; I'm not about to let one change make me lose sight of my goals. Too bad Jay's hot young baseball coach doesn't seem to give a fig about my plans. He has one of his own -- and it includes me. Gavin Monroe may play like a pro, but that boy will never win this game.

This product is republication of the 2017 version of THE GAME. It contains special content and bonus scenes for an enhanced reader experience.

She hails from the great state of North Carolina, so it's no surprise that most of her books are set in the Tar Heel state. She's a wife to a hilarious dude, and mommy to nine-year-old twin boys who tend to take after their father in every way. Sylvie often wonders if they're actually hers, but then she remembers being a human incubator for a gazillion months. Ah, good times.

Sylvie began publishing when her kids started elementary school, and she loves sharing her stories with readers and hopefully making them laugh and swoon a bit along the way.
